Qnamic Inc. was founded on the basis of a project between Skyva and BLS AG, after it was discovered that the project's results could easily be used to create a unique product for the entire railway industry.

The project's goal was to automate and thereby increase the efficiency of BLS AG's planning and accounting processes by means of an all-encompassing planning software.

In the course of the Operational Planning and Accounting System (= Einsatzplanung- und Verrechnungssystem EVS) project, the railway process was defined in its entirety for the first time and, on this basis, technology was developed to meet the requirements of highly complex planning processes.

In 2003 Qnamic Inc.’s founders aimed to create a marketable product from the BLS EVS project. They used the already established rudiments and developed the product known as RailOpt® on the basis of PlanOpt® technology.

Today Qnamic Inc. leads the global market in providing software solutions for transport companies on the basis of Intelligent Resource Management IRM®.
