Dr Norbert Bensel joins the Qnamic Board of Directors Norbert Bensel was elected to the Board of Directors of Qnamic AG at the Extraordinary General Meeting of 2nd February 2010. He takes up his new position from 1st March 2010. The Swiss software company, which develops innovative planning and production solutions for rail companies, hopes to strengthen its strategic positioning on the international stage with Norbert Bensel. Norbert Bensel is an experienced strategist in rail and logistics. After graduating in chemistry in Berlin in 1977, he was employed in various roles in human resources development in the Schering Group (now Bayer AG), the insurance firm R+V Versicherung and Daimler Benz Aerospace. In 1997, Norbert Bensel switched to the management of Daimler Benz Services (debis) and was at the same time a member of the debis Systemhaus executive board. In 2002, he joined the management of Deutsche Bahn AG and from 2005 was responsible for the Transport and Logistics department. In June 2008, Norbert Bensel moved to the management of DB Mobility Logistics AG and led all Transport and Logistics department activities there as head of DB Schenker until 31st May 2009. Norbert Bensel is now a self-employed management consultant. With Norbert Bensel as the new member of the Board of Directors, Qnamic AG strengthens its strategic positioning. He also has an established network in the international rail field and with his practical knowledge will also provide support for Qnamic AG's internal growth strategy. Regarding his election to the Qnamic AG Board of Directors Norbert Bensel stated: "I'm pleased to be elected because Qnamic products create the unique combination of planning and economic transparency which forms the basis for operational excellence and cost management in logistics companies." The Qnamic AG Board of Directors now consists of five members: Dirk Pfeiffer, founder and CEO of Qnamic AG and President of the Board of Directors, Hans Flury, Assistant Director and CFO of BLS AG, who acts as Vice President, Dr Claudia Schmid, co-founder and CTO of Qnamic AG, Richard Roy since November 2009 and recently Norbert Bensel, both of whom are self-employed management consultants.
